President Boakai Meets Senate Leadership to Strengthen Collaboration on National Priorities
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the Presidency and the Liberian Senate in advancing national priorities.
Discussions covered key issues of governance, national development, national security, and the importance of sustained dialogue between the Executive and Legislative branches of Government.
The President and members of the Senate leadership agreed to maintain regular engagement and continue working together on matters that promote peace, stability, and the welfare of the Liberian people.
Representing the Senate Leadership were Vice President Jeremiah Kpan Koung; President Pro Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence; Montserrado County Senator Abraham Darius Dillon; Bomi County Senator Alex Tyler; Maryland County Senators James P. Biney and Gbleh-bo Brown; Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye; Grand Cape Mount County Senator Dabah M. Varpilah; and Sinoe County Senator Augustine S. Chea.
Executive Branch officials in attendance included Minister of State for Presidential Affairs Samuel A. Stevquoah; Minister of Justice and Attorney General Oswald N. Tweh; Minister of Information Jerolinmek M. Piah; National Security Advisor Samuel Kofi Woods II; and Presidential Legal Advisor Bushuben M. Keita.
