The summit brought together African leaders and global partners to discuss key issues, including industrialization, sustainable financing, climate resilience, and regional peace and security. 

Among those in attendance were President William Samoei Ruto of host country Kenya, President Emmanuel Macron of France, and United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres.

While in Nairobi, President Boakai participated in discussions aimed at strengthening Africa-Europe cooperation and expanding partnerships that support Africa’s development agenda. He also held several bilateral meetings focused on Liberia’s diplomatic and economic priorities.

President Boakai met with President Emmanuel Macron to explore ways of strengthening Liberia–France relations. He also held talks with President William Ruto, focusing on cooperation in energy, education, and technology.

In a separate engagement, the Liberian leader met with President Alassane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoire, where they discussed regional peace and security, as well as coordinated efforts to address border challenges within the Mano River Union.

President Boakai’s participation in the summit reflects Liberia’s continued commitment to regional cooperation and international partnerships aimed at advancing development and stability.

At the close of his visit, the Liberian leader was given an honorable send-off at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. 

President Boakai and his delegation are expected to land at the Roberts International Airport later this evening.
