President Boakai Congratulates His Majesty Willem-Alexander on Netherlands National Day

The President of the Republic of Liberia, His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has sent a message of congratulations to His Majesty Willem-Alexander, King of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, on the celebration of the National Day of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on April 27, 2026.

According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai extended warm congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, the Government, and the people of the Kingdom of the Netherlands on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Liberia, and in his own name.

“This landmark day not only marks the rich heritage and resilience of the Dutch people but also serves as a moment to reflect on the strong and enduring bonds between our two nations,” President Boakai declared, adding that Liberia and the Netherlands share a historically significant relationship rooted in shared values of diplomacy, economic cooperation, and mutual respect.

The Liberian leader further applauded the Netherlands’ forward-thinking approach, particularly at this critical juncture in global relations, while expressing hope for deepening collaboration in the spirit of equality and mutual progress.

He then wished His Majesty Willem-Alexander continued health and success, as well as lasting peace and prosperity for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the years ahead.
