Governance Commission engages PPCC to forge strategic partnership
The Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC) is strengthening partnerships with key integrity institutions across government and civil society as part of its ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency. These collaborations are aimed at reinforcing good governance practices and ensuring that public procurement processes remain responsive to national development priorities.
Among these efforts is the Commission’s growing collaboration with the Governance Commission, which focuses on developing a comprehensive framework to highlight institutional achievements while enhancing public sector performance. The proposed framework is designed not only to showcase progress but also to assess performance, identify gaps, and strengthen implementation strategies across government institutions.
During a meeting held on May 5, 2026, in the Conference Room of the PPCC, a visiting delegation from the Governance Commission outlined the framework’s potential impact. According to the team, once developed, the framework will support continuous evaluation of programs and activities through coordinated appraisals and data-driven analysis. This approach will enable institutions to measure impact more effectively, ensure compliance, and improve service delivery, while also promoting evidence-based decision-making and better alignment with national priorities.
The discussion further emphasized the importance of inclusive engagement, particularly with civil society organizations and actors within the civil service. Participants noted that broad-based collaboration is essential for promoting accountability, building public trust, and ensuring that procurement systems reflect the needs and expectations of citizens.
As the PPCC continues to advance its mandate, such strategic partnerships remain critical to driving institutional reform, strengthening governance, and ensuring that public resources are managed responsibly for the benefit of all
