The Executive Director of the Public Procurement and Concessions Commission (PPCC), Bodger Scott Johnson, is leaving no stone unturned in rallying donor support to improve and strengthen compliance to the available pieces of legislation on public procurement in Liberia.

As part of the rallying effort, Mr. Johnson, on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 met with the European Union’s Ambassador accredited to Liberia, Her Excellency, Nona Deprez, and discussed some important issues vital to the upward growth of the PPCC.

He informed Ambassador Deprez about the ongoing public procurement modernization effort and the associated benefits, as well as the refurbishment of the PPCC office facility and improvement of staff working conditions, as some of the many gains his administration has made in a relatively short period of time.

The PPCC Boss lauded the EU Ambassador and the European Union family for the support to the Government of Liberia over the years. He vowed to remain engaged with the European Union and all well-meaning development partners to bring the needed change to the public procurement sector of Liberia.

For her part, the EU Ambassador Nona Deprez, expressed excitement about the gains and thanked the PPCC Boss for the reforms and innovations. She pledged EU’s support to the Government of Liberia and assured the PPCC of her unwavering commitment to the work of PPCC.
