Mrs. Paegar, a former banker, community development specialist and micro-financing consultant, is the only female on the Commission. She has a worth of experience working with financial bodies, communities and micro financing institutions. Mrs. Paegar holds a Master of Science Degree in Technology of Management Computer Systems Application from the American University in Washington DC, United States of America, and previously obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Accounting and Business Management) from the Cuttington University College.

 

Mrs. Paegar has served her country in several capacities including Board Member, Local Enterprise Assistance Program(LEAP)-a Microfinance institution, Vice Chairperson, Foundation for Women, Executive Director, Agency for Economic Development and Empowerment.

 

She was appointed to the position of Commissioner in 2006 for a four year tenure and reappointed in 2011 by the Liberian Chief Executive, Her Excellency, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, for a period of two years. Being a former banker, Mrs. Paegar has oversight responsibility for Finance and Administration.
